Pressure Wash and seal pavers

Your pavers and tiles gather dirt starting the very first day they are installed. The porous nature of the block adds to its' ability to gather and absorb pollutants and oils. Automotive and food oils are especially insidious when it comes to permanently staining your driveways and walkways.

It is important therefore, to have them professionally cleaned and subsequently sealed to help prevent permanent damage to the surface of the stone.

Although not every stain is removable (depending on the type of stain, material and duration since stained), we will use a customized approach to designing the best cleaning and restoration techniques in the industry!

Our cleaning process is designed for the individual needs of your residence. Here is a general outline of the steps we take to properly clean and seal your pavers and tiles.

We believe in being prepared for every Customer’s unique needs. We pride ourselves in our custom approach for every home we serve. We schedule a short time for us to come to your home and asses your unique needs. We create a plan that works best for you! It wouldn’t make much sense for us to give you an estimate for a job that we haven’t put the time in to understanding, would it? We keep things simple! Once the estimate is completed, you’ll have a custom estimate in-hand before we leave!

Step One - Preparation:

We edge the area; caring for the overgrowth caused by grass, weeds, and debris.
We will sweep debris and pretreat any stains with our eco-friendly and non-toxic solutions!
At Berner Pavers, we will go as far as removing stubborn weeds by hand, because we treat your home like our home. In some cases, we may even replace severely stained pavers (optionally provided by homeowner.)

Step Two - Power Washing:

Our power washing method uses three powerful cleaning heads that are enclosed in a revolving 360 degree power head! Our method ensures the cleanliness in all angles of each paver! Most importantly this stops the spread of any debris from entering your landscaping, gardens and pool areas! Our secondary precision power wands trim out corners and difficult to reach areas. We power wash each area twice ensuring a thorough and complete cleaning!
All cleaned areas are rinsed, including all adjacent doors, walls and areas that may have received any overspray! Now, we wait 2-3 hours and allow the surface to thoroughly dry before moving on to step 3!

Step Three - Drying:

The areas cleaned MUST dry prior to the application of sealer. We will use fans when possible but are usually at the mercy of Mother Nature. Two to Three hours of intense drying is required in order to have a proper seal. For this reason, it is sometimes NOT possible to seal an area the same day it was cleaned.
For example - three days of rain means no sealing for three days - and you MUST keep the areas clean in the meantime to avoid any additional cost of re-cleaning. We promise to seal at the earliest and safest window possible as both of our times are valuable! Remember - we live in paradise and all the weather it has to offer!

Final Step - Sealing:

Weather permitting of course - We will apply a minimum of 2 coats of sealer to your cleaned areas. We have the ability to customize your shine, ranging from a matte finish to a refined gloss. A minimum of 2 hours is required before it may be walked on (not to mention the area must remain dry.) At least 12 hours of intense, uninterrupted curing time is required before you may drive a car or golf cart upon the area. After that, your new living space will be the talk of the town!
